Logo 777 nadania praw miejskich Sulęcinowi

Work in the logo competition on the occasion of granting municipal rights to the city of Sulęcin 777 years ago.

Project description:
I tried to make the project as simple and transparent as possible for the inhabitants of Sulęcin. And that it should contain symbolic elements of the city's architecture. Because I was instructed to use this as a simple sketch. Thanks to this linear technique, I was able to reproduce the characteristic buildings of Sulęcin and place them in the proportion of one third of the entire logo. Therefore, in addition to the graphic symbol, consisting of three sevens, also referring to the outline and a continuous line, I also added the outline of the water tower at the railway stop, the shape of the front of the neo-Gothic church of St. St. Henry and the house of the Knights Hospitaller.
With my colors, I wanted to refer to the city's coat of arms, as well as to the city's history itself. When Henry the Bearded handed over the town and 10 villages to Mroczek from Pogorzela, and he handed them over to the Knights Templar in 1244. In the coat of arms of Sulęcin, there is a red cross, the sign and symbol of the Templars on a white background. That's why I used the basic colors of black, gray, and also a "brick" shade of red.

Opis projektu:
Starałam się, żeby projekt był jak najbardziej prosty, a zarazem czytelny dla mieszkańców Sulęcina. A także, żeby zawierał symboliczne elementy architektury samego miasta. Bowiem to ona ukierunkowała mnie do wykorzystania go jako prostego zarysu. Dzięki tej linearnej technice mogłam odwzorować charakterystyczne budowle Sulęcina i umieścić je w proporcji jednej trzeciej całego loga. Dlatego oprócz znaku graficznego, składającego się z trzech siódemek, nawiązującego również do obrysu i ciągłej linii, dodałam także zarys wieży ciśnień przy przystanku kolejowym, kształt frontu neogotyckiego kościoła św. Henryka oraz domu Joannitów.
Swoją kolorystyka chciałam nawiązać do herbu miasta, jak również do samej historii miasta. Kiedy to Henryk Brodaty przekazał miasto wraz z 10 wsiami Mroczkowi z Pogorzeli, który z kolei oddał je w 1244 roku templariuszom. W herbie miasta Sulęcin znajduje się czerwony krzyż na białym tle, znak i symbol Zakonu Templariuszy. Dlatego wykorzystałam podstawowe kolory czarny, szary, a także „ceglasty” odcień czerwieni.
